Scale to the wall, not the sofa. As a rule of thumb, art should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall or furniture it sits above. Too small and it floats; too big and it overwhelms.

Build a gallery wall from the middle out. Lay your pieces on the floor first, find an arrangement you love, then hang the central piece and work outward. Keep 5–8 cm of space between frames.
